Christian Bale, the star of The Dark Knight Rises, is in Colorado visiting victims of the Aurora theater shooting.
In the wake of the shooting, fans petitioned the actor to visit victims of the shooting. It looks like Bale got the message. The Denver Post reports that the actor is in town.
Bale, who won an Oscar for his role in The Fighter, stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman in Christopher Nolan’s franchise. An assistant for Warner Bros. corporate communications told the Post that “Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers.”
Fans have already started posting images of Bale in Aurora to Twitter.

Warner Bros. Donates to the Cause
Bale might be making the visit to Aurora on his own, but that doesn’t mean Warner Bros. isn’t reaching out too. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the studio will make a “substantial” donation to charities supporting the theater shooting victims.

The studio isn’t publicly announcing the sum of its donations, which to us, makes the gesture that much more genuine.
