Police are on the hunt for an armed man who held up a service station in Bexley, in southern Sydney.
About 9.25pm, a man entered the service station on Bexley Road and threatened an attendant with a gun.
He fled the scene on foot with a wad of cash in hand.
A police helicopter and the dog squad joined local officers to help search for the man, who is described as being of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance.
He has a slim build and is 175cm tall, and was wearing a black hooded jumper and a blue and red checked bandana when he left the service station.
Police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
