Child in serious condition after crash

Two children and two women have been seriously injured in a car accident in Sydney’s southeast.

A four-year-old boy is in a very serious condition in hospital after suffering head injuries in a two-car accident in Mascot around noon on Saturday.

The boy was in one car with a six-year-old boy who had a broken collarbone, and a woman who suffered multiple injuries and was trapped for 30 minutes, CareFlight said.

A woman in another car, believed to be in her 20s, suffered head and facial injuries and was put in an induced coma and taken to hospital.

Police, Ambulance, Fire-Rescue and CareFlight teams attended the scene.

The two children were taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital and the two women are being treated at St Vincents Hospital.
