(NaturalNews) They call them “campaign contributions,” but what are they really? — Just kickbacks, bribery and money laundering. Remember when George W. Bush was running the country and made all that money off “insider business” deals while subsidizing GMO high-fructose corn syrup? Now it’s worse with Obama. Still, New York is the next precedent state “case” for saving America’s health, as two bills are being reviewed that can put the brakes on GMO toxic food, by simply labeling it as such.
Most Americans now know that GMOs are toxic, but they don’t know what to do about it, because it’s not labeled. Soon, in New York, consumers may not have to look anywhere but on the label, and the GMO-cancer news will infiltrate their minds, as they begin to read MORE about this new label, and wonder why it’s there. And who are the kings of junk science that want you addicted and dying from genetically “mutated” food? — Coke, Pepsi, Kraft and General Mills. Sure, you think of soda and processed cheese as bad for your health, but you have NO IDEA why they’re spending $70 million on contributions to politicians.
Grassroots groups are growing fast and making headway in New York, demanding full disclosure and transparency when it comes to the food supply. “They are working this very hard and they are not going to let up because of the threat,” said Laura Haight of the New York Public Interest Research Group, supporting the food labeling bill. GMO has not been proven safe, and human beings should not be guinea pigs for biotech research. Two bills have been introduced in the New York legislature to require mandatory labeling of genetically engineered food, including processed foods, GM seed and seed stock. Plus, the bills impose penalties for misbranding!
Assembly Bill A0-3525: “Provides for the labeling of raw agriculture commodities, processed foods, seed, and seed stock produced with genetic engineering; defines terms; imposes penalties for false labels and misbranding; sets forth exemptions.”
Senate Bill S0-3835: More of the same language and labeling requirements for GMO cancer-food!
“For the past 2 years, activists in New York have worked heroically to pass a GMO labeling bill over the objections of Monsanto and chemical company lobbyists who want to hide their genetically engineered products in your food,” wrote activist group Food Democracy Now!
Currently, 64 countries around the world require GMOs to be labeled, including Russia. Three US states have already passed similar legislation to label this “food-science experiment” on humans. Plus, over 90 percent of US citizens want their food labeled to warn about GMOs! The NY Assembly voted 15 to 6 to pass the Bill — next, it goes to the floor. Connecticut and Maine passed bills last year, and Vermont last month! Pay attention to FDA fraud, everyone! Dow Chemical is “in line” to get their Agent Orange 2,4-D approved to spray on American food, and the FDA might approve engineered salmon without a label!
From trade organizations to corporate giants, millions of dollars are exchanging hands, including via the GMA — Grocery Manufacturers Association. Little GMO labels don’t cost money — what will really cost taxpayers money are their own CANCER BILLS from long-term consumption of GMO pesticide crops, animals and animal byproducts. More than 50 percent of all food in grocery stores may soon have that special label! Watch the organic food market take off from $15 billion a year to maybe $100 billion or more. If the FDA won’t label GMO, label it in your mind, and make sure you purchase only healthy, whole food that’s organic and pure. Feed your organs what they want most — after all, the word organ constitutes most of the word organic.
