A body found by a canoeist in Melbourne’s Yarra River has been identified as a 94-year-old man who went missing last week.
Police were called just before 3.30pm (AEST) on Saturday after the body of the elderly man, who was reported missing last week, was discovered in the river at Abbotsford, in the city’s inner-east.
The man’s death was not suspicious, and a report would be prepared for the coroner, police said.
