Latonya Goldsy is Tamir Rice’s Cousin. She has started a Facebook Page called “Justice for Tamir Rice.” She and I have walked a lot of miles in protest for Tamir over the past year together. I consider her and her family to be friends of mine. They are calling for a “statewide call-in” in the Tamir Rice case, but there’s no reason it can’t be nationwide. They would like everyone to call in to the prosecutor’s office between Sept 4th and November 24th.
Call Prosecutor Tim McGinty and ask why the second video of the murder hasn’t been released yet, and why the officers involved have not been charged as of yet? November 22th will mark the one year anniversary of the Murder of Tamir as he played at a park in his neighborhood. It has been one year and the officers are still collecting a paycheck. But I’ll let Latonya tell you in her words as it is posted on the event page. Please help out and call in. I know I will.
ATTENTION:
I have tried to remain optimistic about my cousin #TamirRice’s case, but it seems to me that prosecutor #McGinty doesn’t feel the need to move forward in filing for an indictment against the two police officers that shot and killed a 12 year old child in a public playground. I have come to the resolve that it will take the masses to move this mountain. #McGinty has had #TamirRice case in his office on a shelf since May, he has not moved a finger since then. He has refused to release the other video showing the #Shooting death of #TamirRice. Yes there is another video! I feel like the City of Cleveland is toying with my family at the expense of #TamirRice. I am asking everyone to get involved WE NEED MORE ACTION, LESS TALK. CALL INTO THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND ASK ABOUT THE SECOND VIDEO WHY HASN’T IT BEEN RELEASED YET, WHY HASN’T HE INDICTED THESE OFFICERS FOR THE MURDER OF 12 YEAR OLD #TamirRice.
