Bull Moose Bobby: The Patrician Populist!

The prospects for a third party run by RFK, Jr. appear to be increasing by the day. With the DNC conspiring to prevent him from winning the Democratic Party nomination in order to rig it in favor of incumbent Joe Biden, the need for him to remain loyal to his family roots that propelled his Uncle Jack into the White House and saw his father, RFK, Sr. a Senator from New York has all but disappeared.

Should he opt to run as an Independent on No Labels, Libertarian or another group, he would be doing so in the tradition of populists like Bull Moose Teddy Roosevelt, Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln and more recently, Ron Paul, Ross Perot and Donald Trump.

Like TR and Trump, his Kennedy Family roots and wealth qualify him as a Patrician Populist, someone with an upper class background who is able to bridge the gap between themselves and the less fortunate masses for whom they are able to articulate the felt needs of the political moment.

Commentators like Ed Dowd and Tucker Carlson are questioning whether there will even be an election in 2024 because of the urge to cover up the massive corruption of the DC Swamp and to by-pass the continuing popularity of Trump’s base that has him positioned to defeat Biden.

Their remarks echo my own Doom and Gloom forecasts which I have articulated for decades in my many articles that warn friends, family and fellow citizens of the looming collapse of American Society.

To the extent Dowd, Tucker and I are correct in our bleak assessment of America’s struggles, it makes an insurgent thrust by RFK, Jr. to capture the White House even more appropriate as a significant baby step towards fighting the evils facing us and directly confronting the DNC which twice cheated Sanders out of the nomination against Hillary in 2016 and Joe in 2020 while arguably stealing it from Trump as well.

Trump remains a formidable persona on the political landscape. But compared to Bad Man Orange, Bobby brings far less baggage to the table and has a higher prospect of healing our deeply divided Nation, something that neither the current incumbent or his predecessor, Trump, appear even remotely able to do.

The latest news has RFK flirting with the Libertarian Party. Whether he decides to run as their candidate, opt for the No Labels effort, or form his own brand along the lines I suggested 7 years ago with The American Peace Party, it would be a refreshing move filled with the potential for transforming our politics away from the stagnated, corporate-dominated Uniparty we now have.

I hope he abandons the Dems and follows the path set by Tulsi Gabbard whose disgust with the endless wars backed by both wings of the War Party led her to end her association with the Democrats.

Together on the same ticket, they could forge an alliance of Independents, populist Dems who supported Bernie, Tea Party populists who form the core of Trump’s MAGA Movement, Libertarians and countless millions of other disgruntled voters tired of wasting their votes on RINOs, warmongering Dems and other phonies who have done so much harm to America.
