‘Britons distrust gov’t econo. policy’

This is while more than four out of ten believe Osborne should be replaced with only one in five frowning on the idea, poll for The Independent on Sunday showed.

The results put Cameron and Osborne as low as their opposition counterparts Ed Miliband and Ed Balls in the eyes of the public regarding economic matters.

This comes as Osborne is already under pressure from both within his own party and from Labour that describes him as a “part-time Chancellor” while British economy remains deep in recession.

Former Tory Chancellor Lord Lawson has urged Osborne to quit his second job as the Tory election strategist to focus on the economy as “his last budget was not his biggest success.”

The poll also found that Cameron is now considered a good Prime Minister by only 27 percent of the British public while almost half of voters want his Home Secretary Theresa May to step down after her failure to get the G4S private security firm to stay committed to its Olympics contract risking the safety of the Games.
