In a major breach of two UN Security Council resolutions, Iran has executed a new mid range ballistic missile test.
They have once again used the President’s terrible nuclear “deal” as an opportunity to test another missile capable of carrying warheads. The evidence is now overwhelming that the deal isn’t worth the paper it was printed on. Of course Iran recognizes correctly that Obama is willing to overlook virtually any violations by them in order to protect the appearance of preserving a historic foreign policy win.
Western intelligence says the test was held Nov. 21 near Chabahar, a port city in southeast Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province near the border with Pakistan, according to Fox News. The launch took place from a known missile test site along the Gulf of Oman.
The missile, known as a Ghadr-110, has a range of 1,800 – 2000 km, or 1200 miles, and is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. The missile fired in November is an improved version of the Shahab 3, and is similar to the precision guided missile tested by Iran on Oct. 10, which elicited strong condemnation from members of the U.N. Security Council.
A senior administration official told Fox News on Monday the White House was “aware” of reports of the missile test, but had “no further comment at this time.”
“The United States is deeply concerned about Iran’s recent ballistic missile launch,” Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., said in a statement after the last Iranian ballistic missile test in October.
President Obama mentioned the Iranian missile test during a press conference on Oct. 16 and said the United States was preparing to brief the U.N. sanctions committee. He added that it would not derail the nuclear deal.
This is the second ballistic missile test firing since the signing of this disastrous Iran nuke deal. This is the second violation of a U.N. Resolution against Iranian ballistic missile activity which banned this activity for eight years.
The agreement was that Iran wouldn’t work on their ballistic missile projects, but if they have launched another one, obviously they’ve been working on it all this time. The Iran deal was a mistake of epic proportions and simply put, they cannot be trusted.
And what is our timid president and congress going to do about this? The simple answer is, they will not do anything but sweep it under the rug and reassure the sheep that everything is under control. It’s no secret that Iran wants death for America and this does not concern our “leader” at all.
