A YOUNG boy is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Sydney’s north west this afternoon.
The six-year-old was hit by the car when he tried to cross Hambledon Rd in Quakers Hill about 5.15pm this afternoon.
The boy suffered severe head injuries and was treated by paramedics and a doctor from the Careflight Hospital at the scene.
He was transported to Westmead Children’s Hospital by road ambulance and accompanied by his parents.
Police are investigating the circumstance of the incident.
