Blasts hit southern Nigeria

“We just heard “boom.” The blast happened late in the night right under my
mother’s store,” witness, Grace Bowei, said.

In Kano, seven people were killed on Friday after coordinated bomb attacks on
security forces that were claimed by the Boko Haram.

The attacks prompted the government to announce a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the
city of more than 10 million people.
