FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda An explosive device was detonated on the main southern highway in Damascus in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The blast came two days after 92 people, including more than 30 children, were killed in the village of Houla near the western city of Homs.
The Syrian Arab News Agency said “armed terrorist groups” were responsible for the violence in Houla, but the opposition Syrian National Council blamed the Damascus government.
The latest attacks by armed groups in the Arab state were carried out despite a ceasefire that took effect on April 12.
About 260 UN observers are currently monitoring the ceasefire, which was part of a six-point peace plan proposed by UN-Arab League envoy Kofi Annan in March.
Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011. The violence has claimed the lives of hundreds of people, including many security forces.
Damascus blames “outlaws, saboteurs, and armed terrorist groups” for the unrest, asserting that it is being orchestrated from abroad.
