BILDERBERG 2018: Rear Guard Action by the Transatlantic Elite in Turin, Italy

This year’s Bilderberg Meeting looks as big and as bold as ever, as transatlantic elites arrive In Turin, Italy this week to discuss the Atlanticist global agenda for the coming year and beyond.

Founded in 1954 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands (a former member of the Nazi Party), the annual meeting is described by the organization itself as “an annual forum for informal discussions, designed to foster dialogue between Europe and North America.”

Journalist and veteran Bilderberg correspondent, Charlie Skelton, has been on the ground covering Bilderberg this week for The Guardian and other news outlets, as well as surveying this year’s somewhat predictable conclave of globalists administrators and corporate monopolists:

“Like Kissinger, Bilderberg shows no signs of slowing down or complacency. Its recent flirtation with artificial intelligence and Silicon Valley seems to have blossomed into a full-blown affair. This year a Twitter board member, Patrick Pichette, has got the nod, and returning for the second time is Divesh Makan, who has links to Mark Zuckerberg and whose clients include Reid Hoffman, the LinkedIn co-founder and Bilderberg veteran.”

Also reporting for Newsweek, Skelton further explains the international scope of the event, and its highly controlled PR apparatus:

“If you’re a fan of elite policy conferences, then this is your lucky weekend. The political planets have aligned, and the two most important meetings of the year are taking place at the same time: The G7 summit in Quebec and the Bilderberg conference in Turin. Both are heavily guarded, influential affairs; both are attended by prime ministers with government staff and both will tackle some of the most pressing issues of the day. But that’s pretty much where the similarity ends. One of them is surrounded by about 4,000 journalists, feeding hungrily off the multi-million dollar PR operation that tosses them constant juicy press releases and footage from the event. The other is surrounded by scowling Italian police who tell you to delete your photos if you get too close to the security cordon.”

Skelton aptly describes the annual globalist confab as the “Superbowl of Corporate Lobbying”:

“The Bilderberg conference is the Super Bowl of corporate lobbying. It’s where the heads of giant corporations get to chew over policy with the policymakers; where the billionaire owners of colossal conglomerates get to mingle with ministers in glorious privacy.”

As usual, Bilderberg’s guestlist is a who’s who of the top positions of control across all majority sectors in the transatlantic establishment:

More shockingly however, is that this is the first year in which the Vatican has dispatched a delegation to the Bilderberg meeting, with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State, scheduled to meet with “130 carefully selected individuals” at this year’s private conference (and likely not for confessions).

Apparently, this year’s agenda see elites somewhat under siege from perceived threats from the unwashed masses, such as the rise of “populism” in both the US and Europe, and too many suffering from “inequality”, followed by a predictable list of familiar mainstream talking points. This year’s agenda is as follows:

Bilderberg’s current boss, banking mogul Henri de Castries, arriving for this week’s meetings in Turin, Italy:

Britain’s newest tabloid mogul and propagandist, George Osbourne, now a regular Bilderberg fixture, arriving in Italy to help grease the wheels of corporate progress and represent to the interests of the City of London:

Bilderbergers have reserved the elite NH Lingotto Hotel in Turin for the week’s events:

Skelton also explains to the intense security at Bilderberg, and the lack of any journalist access other than appointed embeds:

“In my 10 years of covering Bilderberg I’ve never had a gun pulled on me, but I’ve been surrounded by a circle of yelling cops, been taken out of my room by armed police at 1 am and made to stand under a searchlight for half an hour, and I’ve tussled with an undercover Greek policeman in the Athens underground. It’s been fun.”

“The G7 pampers its vast army of reporters with free food and booze. At Bilderberg, the only journalists who get a free buffet are the ones actually taking part in the conference. Every year, a select group of friendly columnists and editors are invited to attend Bilderberg.”

Here we can see the usual heavy security contingent that follows the Atlanticist luminaries during their evening wining and dining tours and special parties:

Bilderberg top table operative, Wolfgang Ischinger, Chairman, Munich Security Conference, arrives to discuss European war plan for Russia, Iran and other lucrative initiatives:

Here is French spook chief, Bernard Émié, making his way from the airport to the lavish settings at NH Lingotto Congress Hotel in Turin:

Once again, the dominance and control of Artificial Intelligence systems and harnessing Big Data is at the top of this year’s discussion list at Bilderberg, represented by Silicon Valley operative, Alex Karp, here in Turin to receive his orders for the coming year from European and American elites:

Here is top UK cabinet official, Home Secretary Amber Rudd, meeting in secret behind closed doors with global heads of finance, politics and industry to discuss policies, laws and corporate dictates which will be descending down on the public in the coming years:

Arch-warhawk and military industrial mandarin, Michael Horowitz, touched down in Turin before the weekend.

And bringing up the rear in this year’s line-up is American Neocon journalist and anti-Russia campaigner, Anne Applebaum, probably facing east:
