Police investigating the death of an 11-month-old boy say a post-mortem examination has been completed but the results won’t be made public.
The parents of the boy reported a burglary at their Bendigo home, in central Victoria, minutes before he died in unexplained circumstances.
The results of the autopsy will form part of a police investigation, he said.
Police had been on the way to the property around 7am (AEST) on Friday to investigate the reported burglary as paramedics arrived to discover the baby boy was in cardiac arrest.
The child was taken to hospital in a critical condition, and was pronounced dead shortly after.
