Murdered Brisbane mother of three Allison Baden-Clay knew her killer, police believe.
The body of the 43-year-old was found in a creek bed in Brisbane’s west nearly a fortnight ago.
Detective Superintendent Mark Ainsworth says police don’t believe the attack was random – and they will make an arrest.
“We believe that Allison may have known her attacker,” he told The Courier Mail.
Ms Baden-Clay was reported missing by her husband Gerard at 7.30am (AEST) on April 20.
He told police he last saw his wife about 10pm the night before when she went for a walk.
At Ms Baden-Clay’s funeral on Friday in Ipswich, her sister Vanessa Fowler said there were many pieces of the puzzle surrounding the death and vowed to bring the killer to justice.
Police have told AAP they are unlikely to make an arrest until the autopsy and toxicology reports are in.
“How long is a piece of string?” a police spokesman said.
