A one-year-old baby was inside a Sydney home where police discovered a clandestine drug laboratory.
Asian Crime Squad officers raided the home on Thorn Street, Liverpool, early on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into the importation, manufacture and supply of prohibited drugs.
Police said they found an active drug laboratory and more than a kilogram of what is believed to be methylamphetamine or “ice” was seized.
A family, including a 12-month-old baby, was also inside.
Meanwhile, in a raid across the city at Belmore Street in Ryde, police seized a small amount of methylamphetamine, glassware and unidentified chemicals.
Three men, aged 38, 46 and 56, have since been arrested and charged with the large commercial manufacture of prohibited drugs, with the 38-year-old also charged with exposing a child to the manufacture of prohibited drugs.
They have been refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court on Thursday.
Inquiries by Strike Force Grandview detectives are continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
