Three people, including a three-month-old baby, have died after a car crashed into a tree near Kilcoy this afternoon.
Woodford police Officer in Charge Senior Sergeant Jason Renwick confirmed the death of the baby as well as a male driver, from Kingaroy, and a female passenger.
A fourth passenger, a male, has been transported by helicopter to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a serious condition.
Sen-Sgt Renwick could not confirm if those deceased were related.
He said the vehicle was travelling on Neurum Rd, west toward Kilcoy – 100km north-west of Brisbane – when it lost control and crashed into a tree.
The crash happened just after 2pm.
Motorists are advised to take alternative routes as Neurum Rd is currently closed.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
