“There’s a startling dearth of auto-tuned YouTube videos about global warming,” I have never once thought to myself ever. But I had not yet seen this video, which mashes up statements from Bill Nye, David Attenborough, Isaac Asimov and NASA climatologist Richard Alley into an auto-tuned climate change primer/save-the-world exhortation.
Isaac Asimov? you might retort. Didn’t he die in the early 90s, before climate change was on the tip of every scientists’ tongue? Yes, he did—he passed away in 1991. But he knew sound science when he saw it, and spoke eloquently about the threats posed by global warming as early as 1989.
