Acting sergeant Roy Elmes said the woman had been “lucky” that the cool weather had not caused dehydration or further injuries.
“She does have some serious injuries,” he told ABC News. “She’s lucky though. I think the weather’s been a bit cooler and we’ve had some rain, otherwise I think it could’ve been different circumstances.”
