Mr Eszterhas says he released the audio because “Gibson called me a liar.
And I also have some reason to believe he’s creating a PR blitz questioning
my truthfulness.”
Gibson has not officially commented on the latest development by sources close
to him told the TMZ celebrity news website that he is considering taking
legal action against Mr Eszterhas.
The Lethal Weapon actor has been the subject of several audio recordings going
public in the past.
In 2010, the Oscar winner was apparently recorded threatening to burn his
house down with then girlfriend Grigorieva inside.
