You might know him best for his role as PC alongside Jason Long’s Mac in the old Apple campaign. Koford is nodding to Hodgman’s 2011 book, That Is All, in which his “deranged millionaire” prepares for the end of the world. Granted, if the apocalypse was coming, most of us probably would find out on Twitter.

When Twitter’s creative director Doug Bowman looks at the new “little blue bird” logo, he sees “the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility.” When artist Adam Koford looks at it, he sees a cynical, addiction-riddled, burnt out clown.
At least, that’s what you’ll find in his newest collection of variations on the Twitter brand icon, which includes The Simpson‘s Krusty the Clown alongside other characters from film, television, and the pop culture vernacular. Koford shared this fresh batch with Mashable for their online debut.

SEE ALSO: Twitter Bird Gets a Makeover [VIDEO]This isn’t the first time Koford, a.k.a. @Apelad, has made his mark on the Twitter brand identity. Back in 2009, he started a collection of Twitter avatars that included such characters as Yoda, Fred Flintstone, and Barack and Michelle Obama.
When he isn’t remixing brand identities, Koford is a story artist at Disney Interactive, where he’s worked on video game versions of Bolt, Toy Story 3, and Cars 2. For more of his illustrations, you can check out his blog, Hobotopia.
