ONE person has been killed and two others injured in a truck crash involving Australian forces in East Timor, Network Ten says.
The Australian Defence Force confirmed that personnel from the Australian-led International Stabilisation Force (ISF) had been involved in an incident involving a motor vehicle.
Sky News is reporting the individual is understood to be an army reservist.
“Defence cannot provide any further details at this time,” an ADF spokeswoman said today.
But Network Ten has reported one person died at the scene and two others were airlifted for emergency care.
The ISF personnel were helping organise logistics for the Tour de Timor bike race, Ten reports.
The ABC reports East Timor president Jose Ramos-Horta says he is saddened by the accident, and has offered his condolences to the family of the deceased.

The ISF consists of Navy, Army and Air Force personnel from Australia and New Zealand. Of its 460 personnel, 380 are from the ADF.
