Armed bandits apologise during hold-up

MASKED bandits who threatened a liquor-store worker with a handgun and hatchet apologised about the hold-up before fleeing with cash and alcohol.

The armed robbers entered the store in the suburb of Morley in Perth’s north-east at 8.18 (WST) last night and demanded money from the 19-year-old male worker, who was alone and stacking shelves.

The two offenders apologised about the hold-up and then fled the store with cash, a bottle of bourbon and some cigarettes, police said.

The robber with the gun was wearing white trainers, a black hoodie, black gloves and a black balaclava with an “unhappy face” on the front.

The robber armed with a 30cm hatchet wore dark trainers with white tips, black pants and a black hoodie with a white winged skull across the chest.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
