Israeli Housing and Construction Minister Yoav Galant said that Bashar al-Assad has no place in this world over his crimes, what about Israeli criminals?
Speaking at an Israeli defence conference held in Jerusalem, the Israeli Housing and Construction Minister Yoav Galant called on Tuesday for the assassination of the Syrian regime President Bashar al-Assad over mass killings of his own people.
Describing what is happening in Syria, Galant, who is a retired Israeli general, said: “The reality of the situation in Syria is that they are executing people, using directed chemical attacks against them, and the latest extreme — burning their corpses, something we have not seen in 70 years.”
The Israeli minister also said that the crimes the Syrian regime president is have been committed against his people mounts to nothing less than a “genocide.” Therefore, he said: “The time has come to assassinate Assad.”
In fact, not only me, but I think that most of the people with straight minds in the entire world agree with what the Israeli minister said about the situation in Syria and that there is a genocide and that there is no place in this world for people doing the same as Bashar al-Assad has been doing with his own nation.
But the question is: are these remarks made by the Israeli minister, who has served in a senior positon in the Israeli army, applicable on him or any other Israeli officials if they carried out genocides or crimes similar to those carried out by Al-Assad?
In this regard, I do not want to remind him with the hundreds of violations against the Palestinian people and their property, starting from the first day of establishing the occupation state of Israel. I do not want to remind him with the hundreds of Palestinians, including children and pregnant women, who were massacred inside their homes and the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians, who were forcefully forced out of their homes.
However, I would like to remind the Israeli minister and former army commander with only two points: the first is the lethal force used by the Israeli army with direct order from the Israeli government against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in three offensives on the Gaza Strip within a pace of less than six years.
The second is the incident when the extremist Israeli Jewish settlers attacked and burnt the house of a Palestinian family in the outskirts of the West Bank city of Nablus, killing little child and his parents, and caused severe burns to another child would affect him along of his life.
Like Assad, to justify its lethal attacks on civilian targets, Israel claimed that the Palestinian fighters used civilians as human shields, but this was proved false, not by Palestinian, but by the BBC correspondent Middle East correspondent Jeremy Bowen.
So that, the use of lethal force and chemical weapons, including white phosphorous against the civilians was not justified and so that they are very similar to Bashar al-Assad. Thus, why Galant did not name Israeli officials responsible for such attacks to be list with those who has no place in this world?
Then, was burning the eighteen-month-old Ali Dawabsheh to death along with his parents by extremist Israeli settlers in July 2015 in the occupied West Bank a justified action? Do the perpetrators still have a place in this world or not? Why did not you speak about this? Why at least did not you criticise it? Or you are still believing that God’s chosen people are allowed to do whatever they can, while others are not?
At the end, I recommend, when there is an urgent need to speak out about crimes and criminals, Israeli officials have to keep aside because their hands are already the most tainted with blood across the whole world.
