Ardour Global Indexes announced today a change in calculation agents for its family of alternative energy indexes.
Effective Monday, May 14, 2012 the Ardour Global Alternative Energy Index (Extra Liquid)℠ (TICKER: AGIXL) and the Ardour Solar Energy Index (TICKER: SOLRX), will be calculated by Thomson Reuters Indexes. All other Ardour Indexes, including the Ardour Global Alternative Energy Index (TICKER: AGIGL), will be calculated by S-Network Global Indexes.
As a result of this change, the end-of-day index files will be emailed or posted to the S-Network Global Indexes FTP site. In addition, daily corporate action watchlists and periodic review files will be provided for the indexes by Thomson Reuters Indexes and S-Network as part of the daily data distribution. Dow Jones Indexes had previously been the calculation agent.
All tickers and identifiers for the indexes remain unchanged. Values for AGIXL and SOLRX will be published at 15-second intervals from 6pm EST until 5pm EST the next day, excluding Saturday evening through Sunday evening, and will be distributed via the New York Stock Exchange.
The Ardour Global Alternative Energy Index℠ is a capitalization-weighted, float-adjusted index of the most prominent alternative energy stocks in the world. To be included in the AGIGL index, companies must be pure-play and the stocks must pass multiple screens, including for capitalization, float, exchange listing, share price and turnover.
