This was posted as a comment on Andrew Anglin’s article Wait, WHO Says Meat Causes Cancer, in which Anglin states, “Whatever you do, don’t become a vegetarian. There is nothing less healthy.” Angelo takes a much different approach to this issue. His post has been edited slightly.

You don’t need meat to be healthy at all. This is also a lie created by industries that bank on us believing we need meat for “protein.” Meat protein is far more inferior than plant protein which is raw. When you ingest raw plant proteins, that are uncooked and not destroyed by fire, you need less amounts because they are more bio-available. If one wanted to get the optimal amount of protein from meats, they should eat it raw, but we don’t’ really do that now do we, since we aren’t actually carnivores, nor are we designed to be. If I threw you a live chicken, you wouldn’t eat it on the spot, because you’re not a carnivore, but if I threw you an apple, you’d have no problem eating it.
Our ancestors were forced to eat me because of an ice-age, and they used fired to cook it, since they are not natural carnivores and didn’t actually like to eat it raw, for if they did, we would all eat raw meat today since there would be no point of cooking it. IF we humans were designed to be carnivores, we would be equipped with fangs, claws and a stomach that is designed to digest meat efficiently. But we aren’t. And because we were in an emergency situation, we had to create hunting tools to act as such in order to survive. In other words, eating meat is really something we in an emergency situation. but no longer necessary since now that we live in abundance and are no longer FORCED to eat meats only. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t EVOLVE to eat it to an extent and aren’t able to consume meats, because we can, but not at the levels we do today and certainly not the garbage meats that are processed and full of chemical additives.
Our bodies are more equipped to eat veggies and fruits. And yes, you can get enough protein eating a raw vegan diets of fruit veggies and nuts, and not worry about ‘shrinking’ or losing muscle. Gorillas and Elephants are huge and have no issue destroying a human being with one strike and they are both vegetarians and fruitarians. They are not carnivores, so to think meat equal strength is a logical fallacy. When you eat meat, its not the actual meat that becomes your muscle, but the amino acids broken down from the meats that signal your body to repair itself. Fruits and veggies provide us with the perfect balance of more digestible amino acids than that of meats. However, on occasions, even apes/monkeys do eat protein from insects and even other animals, but in very, very, very small quantities since it is not the primary fuel source of their diet.
Most of you may say, “what about all the high insulin spikes from consuming ‘sugars’? The fruit scare is utter BS because since all studies of fructose were done using processed fruit juices with added sugar and also high-fructose corn syrup. You will never see a morbidly obese vegan or fruitarian. However, you may see skinny ass, malnourished type weaklings who eat processed carbs and other non-animal products because they misunderstand the concept of being on a raw, dairy and meat free diet. These idiots avoid all meats but still eat pastas and grains, which are the worst things possible, including sugars and other things to “spare the animals.” This is not what I am proposing here.
Raw veganism is the most optimal diet for our bodies, in regards to fighting diseases and maintaining health, cognitive ability and more. Eating raw veggies and greens, along with fruits, protects you from free radicals and give your body the optimal nutrients that are raw and unaltered. The needs for fats can be satisfied by raw nuts and avocados, coconuts and other fatty raw seeds/foods. Eating raw is. It is literally eating pure energy that does not need massive amounts of your bodies energy digesting dead flesh that takes days to break down which takes away from healing processes and other things. Eating meat, especially in massive quantities, actually takes 2-3 days to digest and can build up in the intestines, and eventually causes inflammation and other sorts of diseases over time. Now if it takes 2-3 days to digest meat, compared to fruits which takes way less time, imagine the blockage that accumulates eating multiple meals of meat per day, day- in and day-out for decades! This is why if someone eats a ton of meats and carbs they get tired and because much energy is used to digest and break down flesh and fats, which are far more difficult for the body to break down compared to perfect foods like raw veggies and fruits.
We eat animals because they eat plants and other things; also because they had fat which is full of energy for us (while in an ice-age), but fat is not our primary energy source but rather an EMERGENCY source, which is why, when one goes into ketosis (for paleo) fat is utilized as the BACK-UP energy source, until it is lost. So ketosis is a great way to trim fat, but in the long run, not the most optimal diet because our primary fuel source is RAW Carbohydrates. SO why do we need to eat animals when we eat them because they eat plants? Why not just cut out the middle man totally?
The Paleo diet is good since the people who eat it avoid all man-made starches compared to grain & meat eaters, simply because processed grains are the WORST thing possible, but raw paleo veganism is even more optimal that meat paleo. As I stated, the massive amount of consumption of meats even when eating clean meats, still causes a back up in the intestines when eaten in massive amounts of quantities and can cause diseases down the line. But if one must insist on eating meat, as many people will since they love the taste of it, then I suggest they should be a raw Paleo eater; eating GOOD quality meats while consuming MASSIVE amounts of raw veggies, which will certain be superior than cooking the veggies and avoiding fruits.
Even Mark Sission, the promoter of the Primal Diet, have even stated in a recent article that he reduced his amount of meat-eating and has been eating way more salads, fruits and veggies. This is better than eating tons of meats and not much raw veggies.
Ultimately, the real key is to avoid ALL processed carbs and that will help most of the population, which is still not the most optimal diet, but will have to do will do for most of the population. I myself have been a HUGE meat eater all my life, and would be the last to think I’d say this stuff but now have changed my diet totally after doing a juice feast cleanse where i lost 20 lbs of fat, crap (literally) in 19 days. I experimented on both Paleo and raw vegan and I have proved to myself which is superior in regards of health and energy levels.
I will still consume meats on occasion here and there, having a “cheat meal” once in a while eating whatever I want, but I will do a cleanse day to clean that crap out right after. I can do this because its not what you eat once in a while that matters (or can hurt you) but what you eat day-in and day -out.
Also, I have learned that I know the protein requirements for our body are far less then the industries claim. Of course these industries want to us to believe we need way more protein than necessary. Raw protein sources like nuts and and live raw plants are for more superior than cooked destroyed on, thus you need less, as I stated. So I eat mostly eat a raw vegan diet throughout the week, with a lot of fruits and green salads. These salads are full of nuts and greens like spinach and kale that have protein in them. The protein you get from live plants and fruits is for more superior and bio-available than cooked meat, which loses many of its nutrients being destroyed by fire, which is again one of the most important points to understand.
Also, most animal meats you will find in stores, which are butchered for consumption, are fed corn feed and other unnatural starches that you in turn eat because you eat the animals; along with all the chemicals and steroids etc pumped into these science experiments. So The BEST meat to eat, if you must, is to eat grass fed, organic meats. That you folks already know. But the truth is, processed meats, especially bacon, are not good for you at all.
So I don’t expect people to go raw vegan, in fact, I expect a wave of people saying I’m retarded for saying this, but there is absolutely no argument against eating raw pure foods versus cooked degraded foods, especially foods that back up the digestion process and can cause toxic build up.
Most of us have been brainwashed (including me as I was a body-builder type workout guy) that meat is the best protein and we need it and without it, we will shrink into Ghandi. Well, this is because of the stigma about it, because it frees us from the Jewish food industries that poison the shit out of us. Again, it’s total nonsense. If anything, the jews want us consuming massive amounts of foods that need tons of farms, acreage and more to keep it going, which is not only impossible to sustain in the long run (like their banking systems), but not even the most optimal way of eating, just so they can profit from it. Even a few decades ago, we didn’t have such a massive meat industry where americans ate 16oz steaks and triple burgers. Never in our history have we been so fat and unhealthy and that’s because we are overfed and undernourished. In other words, we are eating more dead foods and eating more of them causes us to gain fat because we are literally eating more empty calories and foods that our bodies cannot process efficiently. For example a 2lb spinach salad consists of 30 grams of pure unadulterated protein is far superior than a 8oz cooked steak ,which loses its nutrients due to being cooked. Moreover, drinking eggs raw would be far more superior than cooking them. Get the gist here?
I know from experience and I have experimented on myself, and I have never had more clarity, more pure clean sustained energy in my life, ever since I switched from eating tons of meat with a low-carb/paleo type diet to mostly a raw vegan diet, with barely much meat at all, only when I feel like it here and there.
