The Ambulance Union has rejected Ambulance Victoria’s offer of a two-and-a-half per cent pay rise.

The long-running dispute was discussed at a meeting of the Ambulance Employees Australia in Bairnsdale today.

The Union’s Steve McGhie says it was decided to step up the industrial campaign.

“At the very minor end you might look at some paperwork bans and at the very extreme end you might look at stop work meetings and stop work action,” he said.

“But again that extreme end of the stop work action would be the absolute last resort.

“We’ll be compiling a list of bans from the membership over the next for weeks and then we would put that to Fair Work Commission for approval.”
