FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda Albania has fired its deputy environment minister for not paying her electricity bills, amid government attempts aimed at persuading Albanians to settle old power debts.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the dismissal of Deputy Environment Minister Diana Bejko, stressing that non-payment of bills cannot be justified.
“I thank Mrs. Bejko for her contribution as a deputy minister; however, no justification will suffice for failing to pay the electricity bill from anyone, even for a penny,” said Rama.
Following her dismissal, local media reported the unpaid bills were for a holiday home.
Albania’s two state electricity companies lost $550 million (433 million euros) to unpaid bills this year. Around 600,000 consumers have had their electricity disconnected over the past year due to overdue bills.
