The rally was held in the eastern city of Jalalabad in Nangarhar Province.
Protesters demanded the US soldiers be put on trial inside Afghanistan and according to Islamic law.
The rally was held in response to the announcement that US soldiers involved in the Kandahar massacre would not be put on trial in Afghanistan.
Washington says that a single US soldier is suspected of walking off his base in southern Afghanistan and gunning down 16 Afghan villagers on March 11.
However, Afghan fact finding missions say over 20 US soldiers were involved in the massacre in which the soldiers went from house to house in three villages in Kandahar’s Panjwaii district killing civilians –mostly women and children — and injuring several others.
Two members of an Afghan parliamentary mission, Hamidzi Lali and Shakiba Hashemi, told the general meeting of Afghanistan’s parliament that two Afghan women were raped before the massacre took place.
