In a fortnight’s time, the first ever Private Members’ Bill backing abortion will be introduced in the Dáil. Socialist Party TD Clare Daly and several of her colleagues have tabled the “Medical Treatment Bill”, which falsely creates the impression that women in Ireland are being denied necessary medical treatments in pregnancy because of the absence of abortion here.
With the “Expert Group” on abortion due to report in a few months time, it is more important than ever that abortion advocates do not succeed in misrepresenting the facts and duping the public.
We strongly urge you to take just a few minutes to send a ready-to-go e-card to your local Oireacthas members, calling on them to oppose the Bill and asking them to let you know where they stand on the issue.
Thank you for taking the time to help – it’s so vitally important that our politicians hear from us over the coming days.
