FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda The ACLU asked the military court trying five alleged plotters to reject any possible attempts made by the US government to withhold the defendants’ statements regarding the treatment they received, UPI reported.
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four alleged co-conspirators are facing a military tribunal at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba. Mohammed was captured in Pakistan in 2003.
This follows an earlier public announcement by the US government suggesting that any statement made by the defendants about their “exposure” to the CIA’s detention and interrogation methods could be censored and withheld from the public.
The Pentagon has not yet responded to the rights group’s request.
The US has been accused of using torture techniques, including simulated drowning known as water-boarding, on alleged terrorist suspects, many of whom have been held at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba, without charges for ten years.
