FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda A study by comparison website uSwitch.com revealed that British consumers now owe £637 million to energy firms, £159 million more than what was estimated last year.
According to uSwitch, one in five British people are currently in debt to suppliers as a result of high energy prices.
“The soaring number of households in debt to energy suppliers is a clear indication of the pressure people are coming under just to meet the cost of their basic bills,” said Ann Robinson, director of consumer policy at uSwitch.
Earlier in March, Energy specialists warned Britain’s energy bills could increase by as much as £200 over the next year, following the country’s gas supply crisis and lower-than-usual temperature which have forced millions of British households to turn off their heating.
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the country’s energy bills and fuel costs pushed Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation to 2.8 percent in February, up from 2.7 percent in May last year.
