5 TSA employees fired, 38 suspended for improperly screening passengers

Naples News – Five Transportation and Security Administration employees have been fired and another 38 suspended after an internal investigation found they failed to properly screen passengers last year at Southwest Florida International Airport. A TSA-initiated investigation determined that some of the employees did not follow the proper procedure for applying random, supplemental screening procedures during an isolated period in 2011, said Sari Koshetz, a spokeswoman for the TSA.
