FAKE NEWS for the Zionist agenda The individuals held the rally in front of the building of the Central Electoral Commission at Triumfalnaya square in central Moscow on Tuesday.
Defying police orders to stop the protest and leave, the activists were arrested and taken to a police station.
“Twenty-six people were arrested. The police acted quite heavy-handedly. All this continued for several minutes,” claimed Alexander Averin, a senior member of a non-registered party, The Other Russia.
Protests in Russia broke out following the December parliamentary election in which the ruling United Russia party, headed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, garnered 238 of the 450-seat chamber.
Meanwhile, tens of thousands of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s supporters have also staged rallies across the country to back his bid for presidency, in response to nationwide protests against his candidacy.
A giant pro-Putin rally is scheduled for February 23 in Moscow that organizers hope will muster 200,000 people.
