(Scroll down for video) Another Hollywood superstar is in love with the Jewish faith, according to press reports in the United States.
Drew Barrymore told the world that she and her husband plan to raise their baby daughter Olive, as a Jew, and that she herself might convert to Judaism as well.
Barrymore said this on a U.S. television talk show on Friday.
Barrymore, soon to be 38-years-old, married art consultant Will Kopelman, in a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony with a rabbi, kippah, chuppah and all.
“
He is a good Jewish man from a friendly Jewish family,” Barrymore said about her husband who is 35-years-old. “I’m a shiksa. I do the Seders and Passover. I’ve not converted yet, but Olive will be raised as Jewish,” she added.
She seemed to be leaning toward conversion herself. She said that Judaism is precious faith and was very honored to be around it.
“It’s very family oriented,” she said. “The stories are so beautiful and very enlightening. I’m very happy,” she also said.
