Man with swastika tattoo

A man was arrested and charged after showing a group of Jewish students a Nazi tattoo, according to court proceedings in Brazil.

Now, the Brazilian court has sentenced the man to 35 months in prison for saluting the Jewish students and showing them a tattoo of a swastika.

 

The incident occurred a few months ago in front of the Jewish Community Center, during an event which saw with the participation of Jewish students from a university in Rio de Janeiro.

 

Jewish travelers who saw the shocking spectacle called security forces, but the man managed to

escape.


Thanks to pictures that the Jewish center president managed to take of the man, the local police managed to track him down, arrest him and bring him to trial for committing acts of racism.

According to the judge at the Criminal Court of Rio de Janeiro, this act rises to a racist offense and the man deserved a punishment of a fine and prison.

 

Later, it was also found that the young man was part of the neo-Nazi community in Brazil. The Jewish Federation of Rio de Janeiro, has filed a complaint against him for that.
