A ton of hay have gone missing form a property, police said.
Russian police said a man accused of stealing 1.5 tons of hay allegedly from a neighbor’s field as a gift to his girlfriend he was trying to make up with, according to reports in the local news media.
Investigators from the Tyumen region, said last week that the man allegedly loaded the hay into his truck after fighting with his girlfriend and took the hay stolen from a house in the hope of obtaining forgiveness.
The love struck criminal now faces up to two years in prison on charges of theft, police said on Friday, adding that the incident took place
last Sunday, but was not reported before.
Police have reported that this is the first time so much hay has been reported stolen.
