Teen Lesbian Couple Shot At Texas Park
Details remain vague in a violent double shooting at a Texas park that left one lesbian teen dead and another hospitalized in serious condition.

Chuck Norris Supports Boy Scouts’s Anti-Gay Policies, Suggests ‘Pro-Gay’ Obama Is Pushing Agenda
Chuck Norris has never been one to mince words. Now, the outspoken actor and staunch conservative is expressing his support for the Boy Scouts of America’s (BSA) infamously anti-gay policies.

‘In Our Mothers’ House,’ Book About Lesbian Family Restricted By Utah School District
he a href=”http://www.aclu.org/” target=”_hplink”American Civil Liberties Union/a has taken issue with Davis School District for a href=”http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/aclu-threatens-utah-school-for-requiring-parental-consent-to-check-out-homo” target=”_hplink”requiring parental permission for children to check out a homosexual advocacy book/a from the Utah district’s elementary school libraries, according to LifeSiteNews.com.
The book in question, “In Our Mothers’ House,” tells the story of children being raised by a lesbian couple. It first sparked controversy in January, when a mother complained to Windridge Elementary School after her kindergarten-age son brought the book home. A petition was circulated that 25 parents signed in protest.

One Million Moms Condemns Oreo Cookies For Gay Pride Support
In what can only be described as the week’s least surprising news, the conservative anti-gay group behind a href=”http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/08/one-million-moms-drops-ellen-degeneres-jc-penney_n_1332651.html” target=”_hplink”this spring’s scrapped JCPenney boycott/a is now targeting Oreos for the cookie brand’s controversial endorsement of Pride month.
In a post titled “a href=”http://onemillionmoms.com/issues/oreo-supports-gay-pride/” target=”_hplink”Oreo — No Longer Favorite Cookie/a,” members of One Million Moms are condemning a now-iconic image which showed the cookie filled with rainbow-colored creme. The image, which a href=”http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2012/06/27/thousands-like-krafts-rainbow-pride-oreo-cookie-others-threaten-boycott/” target=”_hplink”was praised by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights advocates/a, was unveiled last weekend on Oreo’s official Facebook page and quickly went viral on a number of social media platforms after its release.
“The cookie maker is quick to point out that the picture is simply an ad, and doesn’t depict a true product,” the group notes on its website. “But it announced to American consumers where it stands on the controversial ‘gay’ marriage issue nonetheless. Homosexuals are weighing in, hoping Oreo makes the fake cookie real.”

Knicks Star Reportedly Sends Fan Profane Anti-Gay Direct Message On Twitter
New York Knicks star Amar’e Stoudemire is under scrutiny after allegedly using a gay slur to fire back at a critic on Twitter.
On Saturday, Stoudemire tweeted that he just finished an offseason workout when Twitter handle @BFerrelli, a href=”http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/amar-e-stoudemire-tweet-a-nasty-slur-gay-pride-weekend-article-1.1101663″ target=”_hplink”later to be identified as Brian Ferrelli by the emNew York Daily News/em/a, responded, expressing his disappointment in the Knicks’ season.
According to Ferelli, the All-Star forward responded with a profane direct message. Direct messages can only be seen by the recipient, but a href=”https://twitter.com/BFerrelli/status/216631568687575040/photo/1″ target=”_hplink”Ferrelli posted a screen shot on Twitter. /a
“Fuck you. I don’t have to do anything fag,” Stoudemire allegedly wrote.

Teacher Claims School Suspended Son For Being Gay, Fired Her For Supporting Him
Sharon Wright, a teacher in Harrisburg, Pa., has filed a lawsuit against Covenant Christian Academy accusing the administration of suspending her son for being gay and firing her for not forcing him to renounce the “sin,” a href=”http://www.courthousenews.com/2012/06/26/47810.htm” target=”_hplink”Courthouse News Service reports/a.
In the 30-page complaint, Wright claims that after the high school senior announced his sexual orientation on a blog, school Headmaster Joseph Sanelli told the family their son should remain at home until a meeting could be arranged.
During the meeting with Sanelli and other administrators, Wright claims she was told her son would be “permanently suspended from school” until he “renounced his sin.” Furthermore, the plaintiff claims Rich Raynor, a school board member, lashed out and said there was something wrong with the high school student.

Salvation Army Official Implies Gays Should Be Put To Death In Interview
An Australia-based Salvation Army official is catching heat for implying in an interview that gays should be put to death.

Truck Driver Ditches Community Group After Learning His Truck Would Be In Pride Parade
An Ohio truck driver is at the epicenter of a local controversy after ditching a community AIDS group upon learning he and his trailer were going to be participating in a gay pride parade in Cleveland.

“When the driver realized that he was going to be driving for the gay pride parade, he then stormed off and drove away, leaving us without a float this morning,” Judith Pindell, director of public policy for the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland told the news channel.

A Navy hazing case that led to the firing of the top enlisted officer aboard a nuclear submarine was sparked by gay jokes about a sailor who said another man tried to rape him while in a foreign port, according to an investigative report obtained by The Associated Press.
The report sheds light on a hazing case that led to the reassignment of Master Chief Machinist’s Mate Charles Berry, who had been serving as “chief of the boat” on the Kings Bay, Ga.-based USS Florida.

Online homophobia has reached a new low in Italy where a Facebook page circulated this month with the declaration: “Aborting a gay (fetus) is an act of faith.”

New York Woman Claims She Was Raped At West Village Gay Bar After City’s Parade
Details are continuing to emerge after a woman was allegedly raped in the bathroom of a New York gay bar following the Pride parade last Sunday.

Illinois Lesbian Couple Denied Use Of Reception Hall Because Of Manager’s Religious Beliefs
An Illinois-based lesbian couple is searching for a new wedding venue after the manager of one historic banquet hall told them she wouldn’t help “celebrate that sin.”

“Because marriage is a covenant that God created for man and woman, then, as a biblical Christian, I cannot help them enter into or celebrate that sin,” Stewart, who is married to the owner of the club, told the news channel.
Schumaker claimed Stewart offered to take her on a tour of the club this week, but first asked if ”he” (meaning her fiancé) would be accompanying her. Noted Schumaker: “I said, ‘It’s a woman,’ and she said, ‘Oh, we don’t rent to homosexual couples.'”
